The story
This one started with color inspiration – pink and red, I wanted to add a complementary design to the Not So Junk Journal collection in these tints. This quickly led me to the theme of love and romantic correspondence. I have included my favorite red and pink flowers and birds, as well as berries, gems and shells, plus fine porcelain tea cup and saucer!
Hand-painted and drawn in watercolor and ink on handmade cotton paper, complemented by block printing, scraps of vintage letters and floral motifs painted throughout a couple years: magnolia, dogwood, cherry blossom, geranium, poppies, roses and carnations.
